Before Health Amplifier started helping the community of Kikavu in 2015 they had no access to a local health clinic, so disease and malnutrition were high. Additionally, with little education about the importance of environmental and personal sanitation hygiene, conditions were poorly managed and diseases were often severe. Very few families have access to a toilet, nor can most afford to build one and a lack of a toilet significantly impacts health care. We are determined to educate and support the community in overcoming the issues of poor healthcare, malnutrition, disease and dental hygiene.
